Client is looking for a Azure Data Engineer, with expertise in SQL, Python, ETL, IICS Databricks.
Responsibilities
- Development and support of new or existing data applications.
- Create/review low level implementation designs, understand high level data flow designs developed by Data Architects.
- Provide technical guidance to the team and work on implementing complex data solutions.
- Provide support in the design, development, code reviews, test deploy and documentation of Data Engineering and Data Integration Applications.
- Scaling and optimizing schema and performance tuning SQL and ETL pipelines in data lake and data warehouse environments.
- Work with Product Owners, Product Managers, Program Manager, Scrum Master, and Team Members in a Scaled Agile framework.
- Monitor the health of data pipelines and develop contingency plans for failures.
- Maintain detailed documentation to support downstream integrations.
- Provide support for production issues.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, Data integration or Data Engineering projects
- Ability to effectively work well with people in other departments and/or outside of the enterprise.
- Advanced working knowledge of SQL and optimizing queries and databases for performance.
- Highly proficient in SQL, Python, ETL/ELT tools – (IICS, Databricks or Informatica Power Center)
- Experience working in Cloud platforms (Preferably Azure)
- Good understanding of Data Structures and Data Models.
- Experienced in any of these analytical platforms - PowerBI, AzureML or Synapse
- Possesses excellent communication skills.
